Nagle Notes: Responses

Hello people of the future,

Is saying "no problem" in response to "thank you" impolite? Should you instead say "you're welcome"? Possibly, but it depends on the people involved in the conversation. Tom Scott has a great video about this (and if you don't follow Tom you're missing out).

So no matter whether you go with "no problem" or "you're welcome" you're abiding by the agreed rules of society and generally being polite. And if you don't understand why someone would use the other phrase, maybe this breakdown could help.

Now you know so, you're welcome?

Onwards,
Nagle
