Nagle Notes: Weird Al

Hello people of the future,

Weird Al has made some memorable spoof songs. My personal favorite is Trapped in the Drive-Thru (based on Trapped in the closet by R. Kelly). Instead of trying to one-up the craziness in the original song, he chose the most overly detailed story about a basic task.

Weird Al become famous from all of these parodies. People can become prickly about getting mocked but surprisingly one person who didn't mind it was Michael Jackson. Weird Al had a friendly relationship with Michael Jackson and Michael was extremely supportive of the music.

If someone at the peak of his power like Michael Jackson can be able to take himself less seriously, we can too.

Onwards,
Nagle
